He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis L. Bailey Sr. and Bertha P. Bailey (Miller); his wife Mary Lou; his son-in-law Ken Ruble; and his sisters, Zellah Dameron and Sandra Richardson.
He is survived by: his children, Richard L. Bailey (Debbie) of Lebanon, Missouri, Sally Lewis (Ed) of Lebanon, Missouri and Barbara Ruble of Lebanon, Missouri; his brother Robert E. Bailey (Elsie) of Lebanon, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Edmond Lewis Jr. (Eddie), Benjamin Lewis (Dan), Joseph Lewis (Stacey), Karla Sutton (Steve), Matthew Ruble (Mandy), Elizabeth Shelton (Jane), Kenneth Ruble (Michelle), Richard T. Bailey (Rich), Keith Bailey, Rachael Bailey of Amanda Bailey, D. J, Phalen (Angela) and Angie McElroy (James). He is also survived by thirty great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren, plus one on the way; other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Shadel's Colonial Chapel (1001 Lynn St, Lebanon, MO 65536). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Bailey Family Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Lewis have been suggested to The American Cancer Society.
