He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Burns and Nancy Atkins Burns; and his brothers, James and Claude Burns. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca J. Carvel; his children, Nancy Burns of Lebanon, Missouri, Alexandra Burns of Lebanon, Missouri, Steven Everett of Lebanon, Missouri and Charles Everett (Zoey) of Lebanon, Missouri; his grandchildren, Serenity, Harmony, Milo, Tegan and Colton; his brothers, John Paul Burns (Charlena) of Mound City and Eugene Burns (Linda) of Belton, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Barbara Burns of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established and donations made be made through the funeral home.
