He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis W. Lillard and Opal Maxine Lillard (Starnes); his son RJay Lillard; and his siblings, Ace Lillard, Rocky Lillard and Connie Tremblay.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda L. Lillard of Hartford City; and his son Matt Lillard (Kenzie Marcum) of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
