He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, William Jennings Bryan Eli and Clifford Eva Eli; his parents, Harry Lee Ostrander and Audrey Ellen Taylor (Eli); and his siblings, Sandra McDaniel, Brenda McDermott, Nancy Thurman, Dean Taylor, Bill Taylor and Karen McCormick.
He is survived by: his spouse LeiLonie Ostrander; his sons, Scott Allen Ostrander and Michael Wayne Ostrander; his grandchildren, Kayla Ostrander, Andrew Ostrander, Chana Ostrander and Spencer Ostrander; and his great grandchild Axel Ostrander.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene (214 NE Chipman Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64063).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Don's memory, supporting a cause close to his heart.
