He is survived by: his sisters, Anna Strother, Linda Gillilan and Carol Hall; his wife Deborah; his son Nicholas; his daughter-in-law Sabra Blaine Engelbrecht of St. Louis, Missouri; his daughter Lora Engelbrecht Sebold of Oakville, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Savannah, Sarah, Sidney, Sutton Sebold, Dawson and Leo Engelbrecht.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs (7920 MO-7, Blue Springs, MO 64014). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs, Missouri, or to the Hughes/Sebold Scholarship Fund at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri.
