He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hoelzel and Julia Hoelzel (Knoche); his son Frank William Hoelzel; and his sister Alice Elizabeth Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Carol Hoelzel of Independence, MO; his children, David Hoelzel (Laura) of Kansas City, MO and Catherine Stanley of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, George Alexander Hoelzel and Camila Marie Hoelzel; and his siblings, Jim Hoelzel (Katherine), Bill Hoelzel (Ann), Julie Watton and Mary Cook (Alan).
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crown Pointe Church (5950 NE Lakewood Way, Lee's Summit, MO 64064). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Crown Pointe Church.
