He was predeceased by : his parents, Dean Taylor and Datha Taylor (Johnson). He is survived by : his wife Karen Taylor (Broyles); his children, Jennifer Smead (Chris) and Casey Taylor (Carrie); his grandchildren, Kylee, Justin, Cayla, Callie and Corinne; and his siblings, Danial Taylor of Pleasant Hill, MO and Polly Ferguson (Chad). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Longview Funeral Home (12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
