She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas Edward and Ida Kathryn Collins (Simmons); and her siblings, Edna Earline Collins, Dorothy Leora Collins (Bowers), James Paul Collins and Joseph Stephen Collins.

She is survived by: her husband Fred; her siblings, Lois Sandra Walker (Terrence Greenwood), Linda Kathryn Dimon (Freddie Thompkins) and John Edward Collins (Lila); and her granddaughter Alissa Spotts Brendle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial gifts to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Children's Mercy Hospital of Kansas City.
