With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Charlene Herman of Lees Summit, Missouri, who passed away on March 5, 2024 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Charlene Herman to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew Aszmus and Lucy Lea Feeback; and her husband Gene Herman. She is survived by : her daughter Janet Herman Franklin of Lee's Summit, MO; her grandsons, Jeffrey Herman Franklin (Jeff) and John Hall Franklin Jr. (Jack) of Kansas City, MO; her sister-in-law Joan Bretell of Melbourne, FL; her stepsister Bonnie Honn of Harrisonville, MO; and her caregiver Dawn Schweigerdt. She is also survived by her nieces, nephew and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either of the following which were important to Joyce: Community Services League of Independence or National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

“My husband and I had known Joyce and Gene Herman over many years' time, from the Lake of the Ozarks as young marrieds, Crackerneck County Club, through civic organizations, antique car groups. Joyce was brimming full of life and her warm and welcoming personality always made her a favorite. My condolences to her daughter Janet and the Herman family.”
