It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Katherine Smykowski (Lees Summit, Missouri), who passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Katherine leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sister Kathleen; her husband Don Smykowski; her children, Richard, Bruce (Linda), Kim (Mark) and Jill Stone; her son-in-law Tom Stone; and her grandsons, Nickolas Jaeger Stone and Zachary Thomas Stone.

Donations may be made in memory of Kay to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization she regularly contributed to that is near-and-dear to her heart.
