He was predeceased by: his parents, Johan Frederik Heilker and Marie Petronella Heilker (Van Aken); and his daughter Debbora "Debbie" Ann McFadden of Parkville, Missouri.. He is survived by: his wife Diana; his grandchildren, Scott and Aly McFadden; and his stepchildren, Michelle Clark and John Evans.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations to be made to "Hospice by John Knox in care of John Knox Village Foundation," 400 NW Murray Road, Lee's Summit, MO 64081.
