It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Peterson of Lees Summit, Missouri, born in Otho, Iowa, who passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald C. Peterson; her parents, Harold Hudson and Velva Hudson (Jordison); her sister Vera; her brother-in-law Louis Heide; and her daughter-in-law Elise Peterson (Kent).

She is survived by: her children, Bruce Peterson, Karen Carlson (Rick) of Lee's Summit and Kent Peterson; her grandchildren, Kyle Carlson, Erik Peterson (Erin), Lacy Hill (Logan), Ryan Peterson (Leilani), Evan Peterson, Erin Peterson and Emry Peterson; her great grandchildren, Dax and Harper Peterson; and her sister-in-law Donna Lee Peterson of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the First United Methodist Church of Fort Dodge.
