He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Makowski (Steele) and Richard Francis Makowski, Sr. (Dick). He is survived by: his significant other Kathy Padilla; his sons, Michael Makowski (April), Craig Makowski and Bradley Makowski; his stepdaughters, Stacey Heger, Kim Beilfuss (Rob) and Kelly Snyder (Matt); his partner's daughter Angela Insogna (Gino); his sister Karine Thomas (Bill); his former wives, Charlene Varner (Bruce) and Carol Heger; his grandchildren, Merrick Makowski and Alana Makowski; his stepgrandchildren, Gabby Abers, Izzy Chambers, Collin Chambers, Jackson Chambers, Owen Chambers, William Snyder and Julia Snyder; his nephew Aaron Thomas; his niece Terra Castagna; his great-niece Avarie Castagna; and his great-nephews, Corben Castagna and Lucas Castagna.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Lee's Summit Community Church (1440 SW Jefferson St, Lee's Summit, MO 64081).
