He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence E. Hickman and Bonnie I. Holden (Schwartz); his children, Lori S. Bain (Hickman) and Ronald D. Hickman, Jr. (Fella); and his sisters, Joan Christianson (Hickman) and Joyce Meyers (Hickman).
He is survived by: his wife Susan (Sue); his stepchildren, Carissa Johnson (Jeremy) and Lee Hutchison (Cindey); his son-in-law Bruce Bain; his grandchildren, Bradley Bain (Jadrian), Brett Bain, Dominic Grissell (US Air Force), Michael Grissell (Karlee), Janae Grissell, Lauren Herrera (Brandon), Mason Hutchison and Kaitlyn Hutchison; and his siblings, Dick Hickman, Sam, Faye Hankins and Jan Holden. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ron supported Disabled American Veterans, Lucky Bulldog Rescue (Council Bluffs, IA), Mid-America Transplant (Donate Life -MO).
