He was predeceased by: his parents, William Stark and Pauline Stark (Kullmann); his son Kevin Cowherd (Sherry); and his siblings, Ralph Stark, Carl Stark and Marie Weedin.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Stark (Aufemkanp); his children, Bruce Stark of New York, Steven Stark (Maria) of Virginia Beach, VA, Kimberly Zimmerman (Brian) of Excelsior Springs, MO and Kathy Mallot (Claudus) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jessica Hembree (Brandon), Brittanie McGee (Jacob), Breanna Mallot (Anthony Jose), Austin Zimmerman (Lexie), Kaitlyn Jackson (Alex), Skylar Stark, Reagan Stark, Kyle Cowherd (Ashley), Samantha Sierck, Adam Cowherd, Cody Burton, Joseph Mallot, Vincint Mallot, Maica Stark and Michael Davis; and his brother-in-law Norman Weedin of Waverly, MO. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
