He was predeceased by : his parents, Jack Alva Wilson and Irene Rose Wilson (Hajek); his daughter Tracie Wilson; and his siblings, Mark Wilson, John Wilson and Marilyn Armstrong.

He is survived by : his wife Joan Marie Tippett; his children, Derrek Wilson (Marjan Dallali) of Montreal, Canada, Karrie Adams-Buoy of Waldorf and Jeanette Turley (Clayton) of Rogers, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Robyn Adams, Jackson Adams, Kaelyn Buoy, Logan Buoy, Eryn Buoy, Camryn Buoy, Lauren Turley and Morgan Turley; and his siblings, Ralph Wilson (Lynda) of Odessa, Missouri, Carolyn Hurt of Riverside and Debbie Turner (Brian) of Holden, Missouri..
