Linda leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Linda will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Leroy Essex (Bud) and Wilie Essex (Riley); her husband John Edward Shomin; her sister Nancy Sorenson (Charles); and her brother-in-law Rick Shomin.
She is survived by: her sister Jerri Workman (Jerry); her siblings-in-law, Mike Shomin (Gloria), Pat Shomin (Mary), Robert Shomin (Christine) and Catherine Crook; and her stepsons, John Link (Tammy) and Scott Abraham. She is also survived by two step-granddaughters, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Christian Church of Liberal, MO. (113 E Yale, Liberal, MO 64762).
