He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Gillette and Wilmadean Gillette (Kindle); and his brothers, John and James. He is survived by: his wife Maris Ann Gillette (Sherry) of Smithville, MO; his sons, Donald Ray Gillette (Patty) of Liberty, MO and Anthony Dwayne Gillette (Meredith); his grandchildren, Samantha Speedy (Daniel), Garrett Gillette and Ethan Gillette of Parkville, MO.; and his sister Drenda Hinkel of Watts, OK. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parklawn Funeral Home - Northland Chapel (1640 Rte 291, Liberty, MO 64068). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Fall Creek Cemetery - Strickler.
