She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Johnson and Lula Johnson (Stroud); her stepfather Dee Smith; her son John Chowning; her sister Joyce Smith; her sister-in-law Linda Johnson; and her nephew Leland Garrett.
She is survived by: her children, James Chowning of Polo, Rita Sullivan of Magnolia, TX, Ellis Chowning Jr. and Jason Chowning (Felicia) of Lawson, MO; and her brothers, Don Johnson (Joann) of Odessa, MO and Lyndall Johnson of Cameron, MO. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Stith Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
