It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy L. Harkness of Liberty, Missouri, born in Topeka, Kansas, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Harkness and Dr. Harry Harkness. He is survived by: his wife Jane Stadler Harkness; his daughters, Elizabeth Rooney (Blake) of Shawnee, KS and Sarah McGee of Williamsburg, MO; his stepsons, Matthew Stadler (Micah) of Liberty, MO and Zachary Stadler (Rachel) of Kansas City, MO; and his grandchildren, Cameron Rooney, Evan McGee, Madelyn McGee, Anna, Adiline, Aubryn, Anders Stadler, Arlo and Lincoln Stadler. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
