He was predeceased by: his siblings, Lois Luce, Doris Knowles, Bob and Bill; and his son Jerry W. Nicholson, Jr. (Butch).

He is survived by: his wife Norma Lee Nicholson; his daughter Karen Palmer (Lester); his grandchildren, Russell and Caitlin; his stepdaughters, Janie Pierre (Wayne) and Joy Brooks (Troy); his grandchildren, Jon Pierre, Josh Ballew (Aimee), Jeff Ballew (Amy), Jessica Ballew and Alex Brooks; his great grandchild Jacob Ballew; and his brother Harold Nicholson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

“The things I remember the most about Jerry was he was always sweet ,always helpful, and was always smiling, I looked forward to the weeks of summer that he spent with us on the farm. He was my closest boy cousin and being only 5 months older than me we had a lot of fun together. I am so sorry for his passing but know he is at peace. I will pray for his family to have strength and to remember Jerry will be forever in our hearts but he will never suffer again.”
