He is survived by: his mother-in-law Patricia Melena; his wife Patricia of Liberty, Missouri; his sons, Eric Langhorst (Jayme) and Kurt Langhorst (Colleen); his grandchildren, Addison Langhorst of Liberty, Missouri, Scarlet Langhorst (Eric) of Liberty, Missouri, Henry Langhorst of Liberty, Missouri and Nate Langhorst (Kurt) of Liberty, Missouri; and his sister-in-law Mary Langhorst (David) of Omaha, Nebraska..

Larry served as President of the Howells Community Club and the Howells Public Library Foundation, was a member of the Howells Community Catholic School Board, and Co-Chaired the Howells Centennial Committee in 1987.
