With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lola Mae (Mayer) Burns of Liberty, Missouri, who passed away on May 14, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lola may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lola touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Mayer and Lillian Mayer; her husband Dan Burns; and her siblings, Keith and Peggy Mayer.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Keith Jurgensmier (Jody) and Sheri Lee Comley; her son-in-law Mike Comley of Liberty, MO.; her granddaughter Nina Nicole Comley of Gladstone, MO; and her sister Myrna Adkins of Alderson, WV..
