It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Thomas Purnell of Liberty, Missouri, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on January 24, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas A. and Mary E. Purnell (Miller); and his siblings, John Purnell, Kathryn Pierce and Margaret Purnell.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, David Purnell (Emily) and Corrine Stein (Eddie); his granddaughters, Charlotte Rose Purnell, Samantha Jean Purnell and Jovie Elizabeth Stein; and his siblings, J. Gregory Purnell (Patti), Thomas Purnell, Robert Purnell (Lynet), George Purnell (Sandy), James Purnell (Linda), Mary Beth Kluesner (Tom) and Patricia Adams. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
