He was predeceased by: his mother Carrie Day (Dunlap); his wife Betty J. Shelton; his children, Sandy Day and Carmen Day-Wells; his grandson Robbie Day; his siblings, William "Bill" Day, Joseph Swan Day, Taylor Arnold Day, Eugene Day, Jesse Dunlap Day and Frances Lucille Jackson; and his grandparents, Willis and Ellen Dunlap.
He is survived by: his father Lucien Day; his sons, Gary Day (Tina) and Jeffrey Day (Ramona); his grandchildren, Nathan Day (Tammy), Rachel Meyer (Josiah), Keith Henebry, Casey Sharp (Heather), Abbie Sharp (Milton), Laura Markert (Roy), Stephanie Tryon (Jacob) and Lawrence Weitkamp (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Maddie, Blake, Jackson, Jayce, Jacob, Maggie, Taya, Myles, Tatum, Emma, Griffin, Alex, Stanton, Ava, August and Addie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
