He was predeceased by: his parents, Flavel W. Hix and Ruby Hix (Charlton); his son-in-law John Husong; his grandson Luke Husong; and his siblings, Marvin Hix, David Hix, Ethan Hix, Melvin Hix, Donna Lou Redding and Connie Jo Hix.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Hix of Windsor, Missouri, Marcy Husong of Sedalia and Largo Haight (Ben) of Union, Missouri; his grandchildren, Brooke Gerrard (Eli), Gunnar Moore, Blake Hix, Taylor Ebeling (Sheldon) and Tylar Hix; his great grandchildren, Everitt, William, Joseph Gerrard, Andie and Brody Ebeling; and his siblings, Lonnie Hix (Pat), Donnie Hix, Jim Hix, Roberta Riley, Barbara Irwin and Loretta McCall. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.
