He was predeceased by : his parents, Douglas Wayne Helmar Sr. and Faye Helmar (Wallen); his wife Tamara Helmar; his sister Janis Stirm; and his brother-in-law Mark Kenedy.
He is survived by : his siblings, Douglas Helmar Jr., Sharon Brooks and Diane Kenedy. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
