She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilburn Wilhelm and Arlean Wilhelm; her in-laws, Bill and Joan Hackney; her sister Mary Arlean Wilhelm; and her brothers-in-law, Larry Hayden and Jim Hackney.

She is survived by : her husband Craig Hackney; her daughters, Kate Hackney and Jolean Gunter; her son-in-law Ethan Gunter; and her siblings, Juanita Seela (Leroy), Bonnie Hayden, Gary Wilhelm (Helen), John Wilhelm and Steven Wilhelm (Jill). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lockwood Elementary School to purchase books for the students.
