He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Henry Westerman and Margaret Anne Westerman (Stumpe); his wife Alice Holterman; his siblings-in-law, Clara Boessen Fischer, Betty Stegeman, Joe Holterman and Elmer Holterman; and his sister Anna Mae Holterman.
He is survived by: his sons, Bill Westerman (Cynthia Schubert) of Wellesley, MA, Jim Cassmeyer (Sandra (De-De), Tom Westerman and Chris Westerman (Carol Fecht) of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Reed Westerman, Todd Westerman, Scott Westerman, Jessie Tyler (Mason), Ben Westerman (Michelle Krispin), Luke Westerman (Stephanie Nixon), Beth Wessel (Koi), Anne Kaminski (Tom), Sara Westerman and Mary Mortensen (Josh); and his sister-in-law Marilyn Gatz (R. V.) of Independence, MO.. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Catholic Church (216 Broadway St, Jefferson City, MO 65101). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. During the 2020 pandemic, Cornie and Alice started to take Sunday afternoon drives on the backroads around Jefferson City to small towns including Wardsville, Saint Thomas, Meta, Koeltztown, Argyle, Freeburg and Westphalia. They continued this tradition after the pandemic and included a visit to their nephews Dennis and Steve Holterman in Westphalia.
