He was predeceased by: his parents, Thurman "Happy" William Benjamin Vaughan and Ruby Gail Vaughan (Sheley); his siblings, Bill Vaughan (Lorraine) and Fran Smith; his brothers-in-law, Bob Siefert and George Smith; his sister Mildred Sherrell (Sam); and his brother-in-law Ron Sherrell.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Vaughan; his children, Rick Vaughan (Alex) of Jefferson City and Cathy Crocker (Mike) of Lohman; his siblings, Sarah Sherrell of Jefferson City and Chuck Vaughan (Mary Ann) of Jefferson City; and his grandchildren, Caleb Crocker (Courtney) of Jefferson City, Casey Crocker of Jefferson City, Christopher Crocker (Sara) of Cape Girardeau and Eric Vaughan (Amanda) of Lee's Summit. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and members of his extended family.
