He was predeceased by: his parents, Logan Shoemaker and Edna Shoemaker; and his siblings, Donald Shoemaker, Ralph Shoemaker, Oran Shoemaker, Jim Shoemaker and Edna Hock.

He is survived by: his wife Darline Shoemaker of Lonedell, MO; his daughter Laura Watson (Jeff) of St. Clair, MO; his brother Stanley Shoemaker (Kathy) of Owensville, MO; his grandchildren, Amy Nowack (Bryan) of Owensville, MO and Joshua Watson (Carissa Busse) of St. Clair, MO; and his great grandchildren, Colten, Jamison, Owen and Della. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Memorials may be made to Franklin County Southern Baptist Camp or Missouri Baptist Children's Home.
