He was predeceased by: his mother Josephine Barker; his wife Dora Barker; and his siblings, Carolyn Townsend, Annabelle Johnson, Lillian Johnson and Alfred Barker.

He is survived by: his father James Barker; his daughters, Bonnie Ohnemus (Jesse) of Louisiana, MO and Aletha Barker of Louisiana, MO; his grandchildren, Carlita Barker, Oscar Mendez, Yasmine Mata, Diego Mata, Morgan Barker, Dario Mata, Olivia Hase, Alejandro Mata and Kevin Hase; and his siblings, Juell Barker of Arkansas and Betty Galbreath. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
