She was predeceased by : her parents, Claude L. Brinkley and Maria P. Brinkley; and her daughter Kate Cantrell. She is survived by : her husband Donald E. Giltner; her children, Julie Constable (Hiram), Donald E. Giltner II and Susan Gower (Ed); her grandchildren, Brooke Snyder (Dave), Erin Deters, Melisa Constable, Tracy Fishel (Bob), Bryan Gower (Simlin), Brad Gower (Courtney), Craig Smith (Maggie), Cole Smith and Caitlin Smith; her great grandchildren, Teven Blackwell, Austin Schoene, Alex Gower, Adalyn Gower, Aidan Gower, Tyler Clarkson, Ashlea Weidman (Daxton), Austin Lindsay and Zayden Simpson; and her sister-in-law Diane Hudson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Louisiana Alumni Association.
