He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Mae Martin Trammel and Richard Trammel; and his brother William Trammel. He is survived by: his children, Richard Trammel, Jr. of California, Patrick Trammel of O'Fallon, MO, Cynthia Trammel (Steve Roberts) of O'Fallon and Theresa Trammel (John Froesel) of O'Fallon; and his sister-in-law Debbie Trammel of Maryland Heights, MO. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
