He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Cecil Friend and Hazel Opal Friend; his former wife Marlene Friend; his sons, Daniel Friend and Harold "Buddy" Friend, Jr.; and his grandson Michael Powers, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Raymo; his daughters, Denise Powers (Mike, Sr.) of St. Clair, MO, Jeanie Corwin of St. Clair, MO, Deanna McPherson (Kevin) of St. Clair, MO and Chrissy; his stepdaughter Kelly Pfeiffer (Fred) of St. Clair, MO; his brother Donald Friend (Dorothy); and his grandchildren, Buddy Friend (Jackie), Mindy Gonzalez (Alex), Travis Corwin (Lisa), Brittany Schmidt (Jason), Katie Juergens (Michael), Morgan Herrington, Camden Newbanks, Caleb Pfeiffer, Ethan Pfeiffer (Jarren) and Jonah Pfeiffer (Melanie). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
