He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Eugene Downing and Ruth Harvey Downing (Crall); his wife Linda Downing; his son Jay Paul; and his siblings, Carl, John, Earl, Jerry, Jimmy, Betty and Donna.
He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy Downing (Krissy) of Macks Creek, Jeremy Downing of Osage Beach and Justin Downing (Lauren) of Macks Creek; and his siblings, Paul Downing (Mary) of Fair Play, Larry Downing of Hermitage and Barbara Downing of Iberia. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
