She is survived by: her mother Loretta Jeanette Stecher Behnke of Durango; her husband Jerry Raymond Backes; her sons, Jeremy Backes (Kristina) of Marion and Jon Backes (Shandalle) of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Elayna, Blakely, Lilah, Ryker and Richard; her siblings, Marilyn Kammiller (Dan) of Durango, Robert Behnke (LeeAnn) of Dubuque, Thomas Behnke (Brenda Ries) of Durango, Mark Behnke (Bev) of Sherrill, Rosann Welter (Vern) of Sherrill, Jean Oberfoell (Keith) of Dubuque, Kathy Schmitt (Jeff) of Sherrill, Karen Schmitt (John) of Sherrill, Ken Behnke (Cindy) of Durango, James Behnke (Barb) of Holy Cross and Jerry Behnke (Margie) of Epworth; her parents-in-law, Ray and Elaine Backes of Dubuque; her siblings-in-law, Randy Backes (Donna), Bob Backes (Toni) and Lisa Fails; and her caregiver Brie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
