He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Davis and Alice Berneta Capps; his wife Nona Louise Capps; his daughter Nola Faith; his son-in-law Jason Tegtmeier; and his siblings, Eddie, Gordon, Frankie Capps and Sylvia Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Ritter (Bob) of Davenport, IA, Glen Capps (Diane) of Rock Island, IL and Leslea Tegtmeier of Bettendorf, IA; his close friend Mary Kohn of Macon, MO.; his grandchildren, Jake Ritter, Deandra Swan, Glen Capps, Jr., Michael Capps, Josh Ritter, Ashley Holm and Savannah Howell; his great grandchildren, Hudson Holm, Jeffery Capps, Brooklyn Clark, Steven Capps, Aspen Capps, Flynn Ritter and Crosby Ritter; his stepchildren, Mike Schweighauser, Linda Bradley, Elaine Svoboda, Don Schweighauser and Teresa Zumwalt; and his siblings, Keneth Capps (Diana), Norm Capps (Gayle), Marvin Capps (Sandy), Kay Gregory, Peggy McLaughlin and Berneta Loughhead (Danie).
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lone Pine Cemetery.
