He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Jane Griffin; his children, Niki Cummins (Steven), Stephani Shoaf (Chad), Justen Patterson (Kari), Katie Skaggs (Jimmy) and Kelsy Patterson; his grandchildren, Allie Eftink (Hunter), Layne Michael (Kaylee), Ty Nicholas Johnson, Spencer Cole, Caroline, Will Patrick Shoaf, Cooper, Eli, Hatley Kate Patterson, Jane Ann and Lily Grace Skaggs; his siblings, Theresa Rhodes and David Patterson (Robin); his siblings-in-law, Carl Hefner, Connie Pittman, Eric Griffin (Lisa), Terry Griffin (Laura) and Saundra Newell; and his aunt Linda Gaither. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and great-great-nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hutchings - Pendergrass Funeral Chapel (203 Bass St, Marble Hill, MO 63764). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
