It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jewell Mooney (Marble Hill, Missouri), born in Birch Tree, Missouri, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Effie Mooney and James Mooney; and his daughter Teri Drake. He is survived by : his wife Jean Mooney (Brewer); his daughter Tami Jansen (Rick); and his son-in-law Alan Drake. He is also survived by four grandsons, one granddaughter, six great-granddaughters, four great-grandsons, two great-great grandsons, and one great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jewell's memory to the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, or to the Woodland or Festus Parents as Teachers Programs.

Sue Jackson wrote a sympathy message

“Mr. Mooney left an indelible mark on my husband, Thomas M. Jackson who died last November. He talked with me many times about his shop teacher in high school and all he learned under his tutelage. I happen to be in Marble Hill this weekend and learned of his death. My sincere condolences to the family.”
