She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edgar and Maude Edgar (Wiseman); her husband James Farris; her son Kenneth Farris; and her siblings, Dale Edgar, Dean Edgar and Ruby Edgar.

She is survived by: her daughter Melinda Leigh of Shelbyville, KY; her grandchildren, Bryce Stella, Christian Farris (Bobbi), Jason Stella (Molly), Shelby McGuire (Richard) and Jillian Harp (Cody); and her great grandchildren, Coraline Stella, Zoe Stella, Macey Cavanah, Corbin McGuire, Stella Harp and Ezekiel Harp.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Baptist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
