It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bedford F. Knipschild Jr. of Marshall, Missouri, who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bedford F. Knipschild Sr. and Helen Grove Knipschild; his wife Kathryn Detring; and his brothers, Charles Larry Knipschild and Don Allen Knipschild.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ann Knipschild of Auburn, AL, Kay Knipschild Lumley (Larry) of Springfield and Susan Knipschild O'Neal (Wayne) of Marshall; his granddaughters, Sara Kelly Harris (Scott) of Kansas City and Elizabeth Lumley of Columbia; and his great grandchildren, Kathryn and Helen Harris.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home (226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Covenant Presbyterian Church (710 E Yerby St, Marshall, MO 65340). A burial will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at the Ridge Park Cemetery (780 E Yerby St, Marshall, MO 65340).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Covenant Presbyterian Church or Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra.
