He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel David Rhodes Sr. and Alice Mae Crays Rhodes; and his siblings, Norma Lewis, Russell Rhodes (Wilma), Charles Rhodes and Samuel Rhodes Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Helen Luttrell; his children, Chet Rhodes Jr. (Andrea) of Illinois, Delma Clark (Larry) of Illinois, Debbie Davis (Jeff) of Illinois, Brenda Turner (Tony) of Missouri and Sandy Smith (Leroy) of Missouri; his grandsons, Bryan Smith (Katherine), Joshua Smith (Ashley), Nick Turner (Jessica), Justin Ivie (Emilee) and Jacob Ivie (Jessica); and his sister-in-law Carolyn Rhodes of Illinois. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home (226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340). Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 5:15 PM to 7:00 PM at the Campbell-Lewis Chapel (226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340).
