As Doris departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Doris leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Henry Hemeyer and Mary Tillie Hemeyer (Grannert); and her husband George Robert Butcher. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Storey (Bruce) of Eldridge, IA and Robert Butcher (Carmen) of Kansas City, MO; and her grandchildren, Adam Butcher, Melissa Storey and Claire Butcher.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Campbell-Lewis Chapel (226 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at the Sunset Gardens Cemetery (1801 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arrow Rock Federated Church.
