He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hunter Sr. and Florene English Hunter; his son Timothy J. Hunter; and his siblings, Clyde Hunter, James Hunter, Henry Hunter, Mary Fletcher and Irene Viebrock.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" "Betty" Crain; his sons, Jerry Wayne Hunter (Tabatha) of Marshall and Jason Allen Hunter (Alicia) of Slater; his grandchildren, Jacob Robert Hunter, Mackenzie Elizabeth Hunter and Skylee Marie Hunter; his siblings, Roy Hunter (Susan) of Marshall and Donna Watson of Sturgeon; and his extended family, Lillian Michelle Stevens, Natalie Marie Nicole Stevens, Bethany Wade March, Benjamin March, Hannah Mauzey and Mason Hunter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Miller's Chapel Cemetery or the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
