He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Shell and Virgie Shell (Spears). He is survived by: his wife Sue Shell; and his children, Amanda Shell, Jennifer Nixon (Jason), Roger Smith (Carrie) and Toni Tucker (Josh). He is also survived by four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
