With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lee Murphy of Marshfield, Missouri, born in Elkland, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2025 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by: his parents, Verne Murphy and Jewell Murphy (Price); and his siblings, James Murphy and Vona May Crumm. He is survived by: his wife Linda Clair; his children, Debbie Miller (Roger) of Leawood, KS and Steve Murphy (Karen) of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Alyssa Smith (Patrick) of Phillipsburg and Aaron Randolph of Lebanon; his great grandchildren, Harper, Paisley and Brynlee; and his brothers, Bill Murphy (Carol) of Springfield and Don Murphy (Martha) of Marshfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Day Funeral Home (1075 State Hwy CC, Marshfield, MO 65706). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Marshfield Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
