He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Howard and Della Howard (Smith); his wife Esther Lucille North; and his sisters, Opal Laney, Lora Eslinger and Emogene Cornell.
He is survived by: his children, Suella Gonzalez of Springfield, Ray Howard (Theresa) of New Vienna, Mike Howard of Niangua and Danny Howard (Eva) of Marshfield; and his siblings, Flo Ming of Stockton, California, Dallas Howard (Donna) of Rogersville and Harvey Howard of Springfield. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
