It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Thiel of Marthasville, Missouri, who passed away on March 30, 2026, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Butch" Thiel and Anna Marie Thiel (Huellinghoff); his sister Barbara Giesike; his brother-in-law William "Bill" Giesike, III; and his father-in-law Leonard Brautigam.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Thiel (Brautigam) of Marthasville; his children, Lynnette of Marthasville and Nicholas Thiel (Heather) of Marthasville; his sister Joyce Johnson of Washington; his mother-in-law Shirley Brautigam of Union; and his siblings-in-law, Kenny Brautigam of Union, Kevin Brautigam (Beverly) of Washington and Kelly Schwoeppe (Bill) of Marthasville. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
