As Melvin departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Melvin may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Melvin leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Ashford and Leila Ashford (Runnels); his wife Vicki Brown; and his daughter Susan Diane Ashford. He is survived by: his daughter Melodi Ashford; and his sister Sharron Freeman (John). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
